This hydraulic oil filter removes particulate from the hydraulic circuit before the fluid reaches the main pump and control valves. It mounts in the return-side housing of the tractor's hydraulic system, where it protects downstream components such as the piston pump and steering actuators from contamination. A clogged filter forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate wear on seals and spools. As an original AGCO component, the filter element is manufactured to the same pleat density and bypass cracking pressure as the assembly for which it was designed, ensuring the bypass valve opens only when the element is fully loaded. Replace the housing seal on reinstall and torque the cap to specification.
