This bearing supports the rotor shaft within the threshing mechanism of a combine harvester. It maintains the radial and axial alignment of the rotating assembly, allowing the threshing drum to turn freely against the concave. A failed bearing produces a grinding noise and increased vibration in the threshing unit, which can lead to uneven crop processing and damage to the shaft housing. The double-sealed design retains lubricant and excludes dust and chaff during operation. When replacing, ensure the bearing is pressed squarely onto the shaft and that the retaining hardware is torqued to specification.
