This half shaft assembly transmits drive torque from the front differential to the wheel hub on the host tractor. It is the complete unit, including the shaft and any attached joint or flange components, ready for installation into the axle housing. A worn or damaged half shaft produces driveline vibration and can lead to hub bearing failure if the shaft's runout exceeds specification. As an original-manufacturer component, the shaft is machined to the same spline and bearing-journal tolerances as the original assembly, which eliminates the need for selective shimming during installation. On reinstall, inspect the axle seal bore and replace the seal if any scoring is present.
