This front axle bearing supports the rotating hub assembly on the host tractor. It sits between the axle housing and the wheel spindle, carrying the radial and axial loads transmitted from the ground through the tire. A worn bearing produces a growling noise during turns and can lead to excessive hub play, which accelerates seal wear and allows contamination into the lubricant. As an original-manufacturer component, the bearing race and rolling elements are ground to the same internal clearance as the original assembly, so no shimming is required during installation. On reinstall, clean the housing bore and apply fresh grease per the service schedule.
