This tapered roller bearing supports the rear wheel hub reduction assembly on the host tractor. It carries the combined radial and axial loads transmitted from the wheel to the axle housing. A worn bearing produces play in the hub, which leads to uneven tire wear and can damage the reduction gears. The bearing is machined to the same internal clearance and taper angle as the original assembly, so no shimming is required during replacement. On installation, clean the hub bore and shaft journal, apply grease to the bearing race, and torque the hub nut to the specified preload.
