The reinforcement layer on the contact face resists abrasive wear from soil flow, extending service intervals compared to a standard steel chisel. A worn chisel reduces soil penetration depth and increases draft force, which degrades tillage uniformity. The mounting hole is designed for the specified fastener; use the matching screw and torque it to the implement manufacturer’s specification on installation.
