This gear transmits drive from the gearbox output to the metering or gathering components within the corn header. It has 12 teeth and is designed to mesh with the corresponding mating gear in the drive train. A worn or broken tooth causes intermittent drive, leading to uneven crop intake or a complete stall of the header mechanism. As an original part, the gear is cut to match the tooth profile and pitch of the original assembly, ensuring correct backlash and load distribution without requiring shimming or modification.
