It sits at the drum end of the drive train, engaging with the drum’s hub to rotate the tines that lift crop material from the ground into the feeder housing. A bent or worn shaft causes the drum to wobble or seize, leading to uneven crop pickup and increased load on the drive chain and bearings. As an original-manufacturer component, the shaft is machined to the same length and end-journal geometry as the assembly it replaces, so no shimming or bushing adaptation is needed during installation.
