This oil seal sits in the drivetrain housing where it seals the rotating shaft of the wet clutch pack. It prevents pressurized transmission fluid from leaking past the shaft and keeps contaminants out of the clutch chamber. A worn or hardened seal allows fluid bypass, which reduces clutch engagement pressure and leads to slipping or delayed engagement. The seal is manufactured to the original geometry, matching the housing bore and shaft diameter so that no shimming or adapter is needed during replacement. On installation, ensure the seal lip faces the fluid side and that the housing bore is clean and free of burrs to avoid damaging the lip during fitment.
