Corteco - CO12001882B - Rear Axle Sealing Ring

This rear axle seal ring is a radial shaft seal that retains lubricating oil inside the axle housing and excludes contaminants from entering the bearing cavity. It sits at the outboard end of the axle tube, directly behind the hub or final drive assembly. A worn seal allows gear oil to leak past the axle shaft, which can lead to bearing starvation and eventual axle failure. Corteco manufactures this seal to match the original housing bore and shaft diameter, so the interference fit and lip contact pattern are preserved without modification. On installation, ensure the seal bore is clean and free of burrs, and press the seal squarely into the housing to the correct depth.
