This intercooler hose reducer sits between the charge-air outlet of the turbocharger and the intercooler radiator inlet. It transitions the duct diameter to match the radiator port, maintaining flow velocity and pressure as the compressed air enters the cooling core. A cracked or collapsed reducer causes a boost-pressure leak, which reduces engine power and increases exhaust temperature. The reducer is molded to the same internal profile as the original assembly, so it seals against the hose clamps without requiring an adapter or shim. On installation, ensure the reducer is fully seated on both ports before tightening the clamps to the specified torque.
