This right-side tine is the active tooth for a rotary harrow, designed to break and mix soil as the harrow rotates. It mounts to the harrow frame using a pin and cotter pin, and the matching left-side tine is a separate component. The tine’s geometry matches the harrow’s rotor pattern, ensuring consistent soil engagement across the working width. A worn or bent tine reduces soil breakup and can cause uneven residue incorporation, leading to a rougher seedbed. Replacing both sides as a set maintains balanced loading on the rotor assembly.
