This oil pressure sensor monitors hydraulic system pressure in the host tractor. It sends a signal to the control unit when pressure drops below the calibrated threshold, enabling the operator to detect a failing pump or a blocked filter before component damage occurs. The sensor threads into a port on the hydraulic manifold or pump housing. A worn or failed sensor produces an intermittent or permanently lit warning light, which can mask genuine pressure faults. The manufacturer machines the sensing element and threads to match the original port geometry so the seal seats correctly and the electrical connector aligns with the harness. On installation, apply thread sealant to the port and tighten to the specified torque.
