Product Description

This thermostat regulates coolant flow to maintain the engine's optimal operating temperature. It is installed in the engine cooling circuit and opens or closes to direct coolant through the radiator or bypass the radiator as needed. A stuck-closed thermostat causes overheating, while a stuck-open thermostat prevents the engine from reaching its normal working temperature, reducing efficiency and increasing fuel consumption. This replacement part is constructed to match the original housing's seal seat and opening temperature, ensuring the cooling system responds correctly under load. On installation, ensure the sealing gasket is replaced and the housing bolts are tightened to the specified torque.
