This bearing supports the threshing drum shaft within the threshing unit drive. It carries the radial and axial loads transmitted from the drum during operation. The C3 internal clearance accommodates the thermal expansion that occurs under sustained load. A worn bearing produces audible rumble and shaft play, which can misalign the drum and reduce threshing efficiency. The manufacturer machines the raceways and rolling elements to the same geometry as the original assembly, so no shimming or housing modification is required during replacement.
