This spherical roller bearing supports radial and axial loads in the threshing unit of a harvesting machine. It sits on a shaft within the threshing drum or rotor assembly, allowing the shaft to self-align under misalignment caused by housing deflection or frame flex. A worn bearing produces increased vibration and noise during operation, and if left unchecked can lead to shaft scoring or housing damage. FAG manufactures this bearing to the same internal clearance and raceway geometry as the original component, so it maintains the designed load distribution and operating temperature without requiring shimming or housing modification. On installation, press the bearing onto the shaft using the inner ring face only, and verify that the seal or shield (if present) faces the lubricant supply.
