This bearing supports a rotating shaft in the header’s material feeding assembly. It carries radial and axial loads from the driven components that transfer crop into the feed channel. Wear in the bearing raceways produces a rough-running shaft, which can lead to vibration and misalignment of the feeding elements. The bearing is manufactured to the same internal clearance and raceway geometry as the original assembly, so it maintains the designed load distribution without requiring shimming. On installation, press the bearing onto the shaft squarely and secure it with the retaining ring.
