This hydraulic shock absorber dampens oscillations in the hydraulic circuit of the grain harvester. It is installed in the return line to absorb pressure surges and reduce vibration transmitted through the fluid to downstream components. A failed or worn unit allows uncontrolled pressure spikes that can damage seals and cause erratic cylinder movement.
