A failed thermostat can cause the compressor to run continuously, leading to evaporator icing and reduced cooling output, or to cycle too frequently, which reduces system efficiency. The JAG-manufactured component is built to match the original switch-point calibration of the assembly it replaces, so the compressor engages and disengages at the correct temperature thresholds. When installing, ensure the sensing bulb is properly seated in its clip and the capillary tube is routed without sharp bends.
