This brake pad is the friction element that presses against the brake disc to slow or stop the rotating axle. It is located inside the brake caliper assembly of the host machine. When the pad material wears below the minimum thickness, braking force decreases and stopping distance increases. The pad is manufactured by JAG to match the original friction compound and backing-plate geometry, ensuring consistent clamping force and wear characteristics. On reinstallation, clean the caliper guide pins and verify free movement of the pad in the carrier.
