Product Description

This shaft transmits drive from the cutterbar gearbox to the knife-drive mechanism on the header. It is a splined shaft that couples the output of the gearbox to the input of the reciprocating knife assembly. Wear on the splines or shaft body causes backlash that leads to irregular knife stroke and reduced cutting efficiency at the cutterbar. The shaft is machined to match the original spline profile so that it engages the mating components without clearance that would induce vibration.
