This bushing is a half-shell component for the fan variator wheel in the cleaning unit of a grain harvester. It provides a replaceable wear surface between the rotating variator wheel and its stationary mounting, allowing the fan speed to be adjusted to control the airflow across the sieves. As the bushing wears, the variator wheel develops play, which leads to vibration and inconsistent fan speed regulation. The bushing is machined to the original clearance specification so that the variator shaft rotates freely without excessive radial movement. On installation, ensure the two halves are seated fully in the housing before securing the retaining hardware.
