JAG - 680576.01 - Inclined Feeder Guide Cover Claas

This cover plate mounts on the guide rail of the inclined conveyor, protecting the rail surface from wear as crop material and chain assemblies pass over it. It is positioned on the wear face of the guide, where sliding contact from the conveyor chain and paddles would otherwise erode the underlying steel. Over time, the plate thins from abrasion; a worn plate allows the chain to contact the rail directly, causing groove wear that can misalign the conveyor and increase chain tension. The manufacturer machines the plate to the same thickness and profile as the original assembly, so it restores the original wear gap without requiring shimming or rail repositioning. On replacement, clean the mounting surface and ensure the fasteners are torqued to specification.
