This brake pump generates hydraulic pressure for the service-brake circuit in the host tractor. It is mounted in the brake system and actuates the calipers or wheel cylinders when the pedal is depressed. A worn pump produces a soft or sinking pedal and reduces braking force. The manufacturer machines the piston bore to the original clearance specification, which maintains the correct volumetric displacement and pedal feel. On replacement, bleed the brake circuit fully to remove trapped air.
