This toothed disc is a ground-engaging component for a disc harrow. It cuts and mixes crop residue into the soil surface as the harrow is pulled forward. The teeth on the outer edge increase soil engagement compared to a plain disc, helping to break up clods and incorporate material at shallower working depths. The disc mounts to the harrow gang via its center hole and bolt pattern; the bolt circle and center bore match the hub on the gang shaft. A worn or bent disc reduces cutting efficiency and can cause uneven working depth across the gang. The disc is manufactured to the original geometry so it aligns with the adjacent discs on the same shaft without requiring shimming.
