Mann Filter - CP23210 - Exterior Air Filter

This outer air filter element captures airborne particulates before they enter the engine intake system. It is the primary filtration stage, installed in the housing upstream of the inner safety element. The filter media traps dust and debris that would otherwise abrade the turbocharger compressor wheel and cylinder walls. As the element loads, intake restriction rises; a clogged filter reduces engine power and increases fuel consumption. The manufacturer constructs this element to the same pleat geometry and media density as the original assembly, ensuring the housing seals correctly and the restriction indicator reads accurately. When replacing, clean the housing interior and verify the gasket seats fully before closing the cover.
