Maschio Gaspardo

This spider is the central cross-shaped component that drives the metering disc in the seed drill’s metering unit. It transmits rotational force from the drive shaft to the disc, ensuring consistent seed flow to the coulter. Wear on the spider’s drive lugs causes the disc to slip, leading to uneven seed spacing and gaps in the row. The original part matches the disc’s engagement profile and the shaft’s drive geometry, so no shimming or modification is needed during replacement.
