Wear on the moldboard face reduces the quality of soil inversion and increases draft force. The manufacturer machines this part to match the original curvature and bolt-hole pattern so it seats flush against the frog without shimming. When replacing, use the specified plough bolt and nut, and torque to the implement manufacturer’s recommendation.
