This chain link connects the conveyor slats in the grain elevator, forming the continuous loop that moves harvested material upward. It is a master link, allowing the chain to be joined or broken for installation and removal. A worn or stretched link causes slat misalignment, leading to material spillage or jamming at the elevator head. The manufacturer machines the pin and roller to the original profile, so the link seats correctly in the chain sprocket without binding. On reassembly, ensure the retaining clip is fully seated in its groove to prevent the link from separating during operation.
