Rota - 497-19.0 - Massey Ferguson Ball Joint

This ball joint connects the steering knuckle to the front axle beam, allowing the wheel hub to pivot for steering while transmitting vertical loads from the chassis to the axle. It is a threaded stud assembly that screws into the axle housing and is secured by a locknut. Wear in the ball socket produces free play that is felt as steering wander and clunking over uneven ground. The joint is manufactured by Rota to the same thread dimensions and stud length as the original assembly, so it installs without shimming or adapter sleeves. On installation, tighten the locknut to the specified torque and fit a new cotter pin.
