This lower link ball connects the tractor’s lift arms to the implement hitch pins, forming the pivot point that transfers draft forces during work. It is designed for the Category 3/2 hitch system, where the ball bore accepts the implement pin and the outer spherical surface seats in the lift-arm socket. Wear on the ball surface or bore leads to slop in the linkage, causing uneven implement lift and accelerated wear on the adjacent pin and socket. As a Sparex replacement part, it is manufactured to the original ball diameter and spherical radius so that it seats without clearance adjustments in the existing arm socket. On installation, ensure the retaining clip or bolt is fully seated to prevent the ball from rotating in the arm.
