The STIHL compensator located in the carburetor ensures that despite a dirty air filter, excessive enrichment of the mixture does not occur. Engine power remains constant for a longer period of time. Cleaning the filter becomes necessary only when 80% of its surface is dirty. In this way, longer work is possible without the need for maintenance activities. After pressing the STOP button, the engine will be switched off. After stopping the engine, there is no need to press the button again, as the ignition system will automatically return to the starting position (the STOP button will be in the WORK position). The electronic engine control system with memory function regulates the ignition timing setting, optimally meters the fuel mixture and speed range by recognizing the starting phase (warm/cold engine). The innovation consists in using only one starting position on the multi-function lever. The manual fuel pump allows fuel to be delivered to the carburetor by pressing a button. Thanks to this, the number of starter rope pulls needed to start the device after a longer standstill has been reduced. Switching from summer operating mode to winter mode is done quickly using a slider. In winter, this prevents icing of the air filter and carburetor. Thanks to the guard lock, tool replacement is particularly simple. The transparent canister with a capacity of 0.75 l guarantees smooth refueling, as its level is very well visible from the outside.
