Throttle lever lock with stop button The throttle lever can be locked in any position between idle and full throttle. Unlocking is done by pressing the stop button with the thumb. The device is automatically ready for operation again. STIHL 2-MIX engine During the flushing process, a layer of air not containing fuel is placed between the expelled exhaust gases and a fresh portion of mixture in the engine's crankcase. This air cushion reduces fuel losses occurring in connection with the cylinder flushing process – thus protecting the operator's health and the natural environment. STIHL Anti-vibration system The anti-vibration system reduces the transmission of vibrations to a minimum and ensures high comfort even during long-term work. Manual fuel pump The manual fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburetor after pressing the button. This reduces the number of starter rope pulls needed to start the device after a longer standstill. STIHL ElastoStart Compression pressure causes rebounds during starting of 2-stroke engines that strain the operator's muscles and joints. In the ElastoStart system, a special damping element placed in the starter handle stretches according to the acting force and enables smooth starting of the device without jerks.
