This sealing ring is installed in the hydraulic cylinder of the host tractor. It sits in the groove between the piston and the cylinder wall, preventing pressurized fluid from leaking past the piston during extension and retraction cycles. A worn or hardened ring causes internal bypass, which reduces cylinder holding force and leads to slow or uneven implement movement. The ring is manufactured by AGCO to match the original seal groove geometry, ensuring the correct compression fit without requiring shims or adapters. On reinstallation, inspect the groove for burrs and clean the sealing surfaces before fitting the new ring.
