This high-pressure accumulator sensor monitors the rail pressure in the common-rail fuel system of the host tractor. It sends a voltage signal to the engine control unit, which uses that reading to regulate fuel delivery timing and injection pressure. A failed or drifting sensor causes erratic engine behavior, such as power loss, rough idling, or a diagnostic trouble code for rail pressure deviation. The sensor is an original AGCO component, machined to the same thread and sealing geometry as the housing port, so no adapter or sealant is required for installation.
