Product Description

This belt tensioner maintains correct tension on the fan drive belt of the host tractor or combine. It is mounted on the engine front cover and applies a constant spring-loaded force to the belt path, preventing slip at the fan pulley and the alternator or water-pump drive. A worn tensioner allows belt flutter, which reduces cooling airflow and can cause the belt to overheat or shed cords. The original AGCO assembly uses a sealed bearing and a spring rate matched to the specific belt span length and pulley inertia of the original engine layout. On reinstallation, ensure the tensioner arm pivots freely and the mounting bolt is torqued to specification.
