This bearing housing encloses the pickup drum bearing on a combine harvester. It positions and protects the bearing that supports the drum shaft, maintaining alignment between the drum and the conveyor system that feeds crop material into the threshing unit. A damaged or worn housing allows bearing misalignment, which causes vibration and premature wear on the drum shaft and its drive components. The housing is machined to the original bearing seat dimensions, so the bearing fits without additional shimming. On reinstallation, ensure the housing bolts are torqued to specification to prevent loosening during operation.
