This bearing housing encloses the pickup-drum bearing on a combine harvester. It positions and protects the bearing that supports the drum shaft, which rotates to lift crop material from the windrow onto the conveyor. A damaged or worn housing allows bearing misalignment, leading to drum vibration and accelerated wear on the shaft and bearing assembly. This component is machined to match the original housing geometry so the bearing seats correctly and the drum maintains its intended alignment. On reinstall, ensure the retaining bolts are torqued to specification.
