This cable transmits mechanical force from the operator control to the drive-system engagement mechanism. It connects the lever or pedal in the cab to the clutch or PTO linkage at the transmission, allowing the operator to engage or disengage the drive. A stretched or frayed cable causes incomplete engagement, leading to clutch slip or delayed response. The cable is manufactured to the original length and end-fitting geometry so that it routes through the existing guides and brackets without binding. On installation, verify that the cable is not kinked and that the adjustment range at the actuator end is sufficient to achieve full travel.
