This brake band is the friction component inside the drum-style brake assembly of the host tractor. It wraps around the brake drum and, when actuated, contracts to create the friction force that slows or stops the wheel. The band is a genuine manufacturer-supplied part, meaning its lining material and arc length match the original drum radius and actuation geometry, so no adjustment shimming is needed during installation. A worn brake band produces a progressive loss of braking force and may cause the pedal to travel further before engagement. On reinstall, ensure the band is centered in the drum and that the anchor pin is seated fully.
