It drives the rotary or oscillating assembly that moves the walker or rotor, maintaining the correct speed ratio for consistent material flow through the separation system. A worn or slipping belt reduces shaker speed, causing incomplete separation and increased grain loss out the rear of the machine. The belt is constructed with a notched or cogged profile to grip the pulley grooves and resist heat buildup during continuous operation. On replacement, verify the belt is seated fully in each pulley groove and adjust tension to the manufacturer's specification to prevent premature wear.
