This V-belt transmits drive torque from the engine to the ground-drive system of a grain harvester. It sits in the belt path between the engine pulley and the input pulley of the hydrostatic or mechanical drive unit. A worn or slipping belt reduces forward speed control and can cause uneven travel under load. The belt is constructed by Gates to match the original profile and tension characteristics of the assembly, which helps maintain proper pulley contact and consistent speed regulation. On installation, verify the belt is fully seated in all pulley grooves and adjust tension to the manufacturer's specification.
