Product Description

This castellated nut secures the pick-up drum assembly to its shaft. It is torqued and then locked in place with a cotter pin through one of the castellations, preventing the drum from loosening during operation. A loose or missing nut allows the drum to shift axially, causing misalignment with the tine bars and potential damage to the drum bearings. On reinstallation, ensure the cotter pin is replaced and the nut is torqued to the specified value.
