This steel plate is the deflector for the threshing mechanism, directing the flow of crop material across the width of the rotor housing. It is mounted to the threshing-unit frame using the specified hardware, with a washer under each screw head to distribute clamping load. A bent or worn deflector allows crop to bypass the threshing concave, reducing separation efficiency and increasing grain loss out the rear of the machine. On reinstall, ensure all mounting holes align without forcing the plate, and tighten the fasteners to the torque specified for the assembly.
