A worn or leaking valve causes inconsistent rotor speed, leading to uneven crop feed and reduced threshing efficiency. The valve is machined to the original thread pitch so it seats correctly in the housing without additional adapters. On reinstallation, ensure the mating surfaces are clean and the valve is torqued to specification.
