This reinforced metal-rubber bushing isolates vibration and maintains alignment within the threshing mechanism of the parent combine. It sits at the pivot or mounting point of a moving component in the threshing assembly, absorbing shock loads between the metal housing and the rotating shaft. A worn bushing allows excessive play, which leads to misalignment of the threshing elements and uneven crop flow. The reinforcement layer in the rubber compound prevents the bushing from collapsing under the high radial loads typical of the threshing drum area. When replacing, ensure the bore and shaft are clean and free of corrosion to avoid premature wear on the new bushing.
