This air conditioning compressor circulates refrigerant through the closed-loop HVAC system on the host harvesting machine. It is driven by the engine belt and compresses low-pressure refrigerant vapor into a high-pressure, high-temperature gas that then flows to the condenser. A failing compressor typically results in insufficient cab cooling or no cold air output, often accompanied by unusual noise from the clutch or internal mechanism. This component is built to the original manufacturer's displacement and clutch engagement specifications, ensuring it matches the mounting bracket and pulley alignment of the original assembly. When replacing, the system must be evacuated, the receiver-drier replaced, and the refrigerant charge verified to the machine's specification.
