This fuel filter with integrated water separator removes solid contaminants and separates water from diesel before it reaches the injection system. The water-separating element coalesces droplets and directs them to the collection bowl, preventing moisture from reaching the high-pressure pump and injectors. A clogged filter or a full water bowl allows bypass flow, which can introduce unfiltered fuel and water into the injection system, causing injector wear or corrosion. The manufacturer matches the original seal geometry and bypass-valve cracking pressure, so the filter seats correctly in the housing without leakage. On replacement, drain the water bowl and prime the system according to the machine's service procedure.
