This hydraulic filter element removes particulate contamination from the oil circulating in the tractor's hydraulic system. It is installed in the filter housing located in the return line, where it protects downstream components such as control valves and actuators from abrasive wear. A clogged element forces the system's bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate internal component damage. The manufacturer's design matches the housing's seal groove dimensions, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and maintains its cracking pressure. Replace the housing seal on reinstall.
