This finger is a component of the active straw-walker assembly in a grain harvester. It is installed on the walker bed, where its motion helps convey the material bed rearward while separating residual grain from the straw. A worn or broken finger reduces walker agitation, leading to incomplete separation and increased grain loss over the sieves.
